laziness and pride...the plagues of America

first blog. first attempt. first embarrassment? hope not.

in response to a Christian's quote, "The love of money is the root of evil." my husband says, "Well, I'm pretty sure the love of debt isn't the root of all righteousness." clever...
in times like these, having money is a pretty good thing. in fact, having money isn't a bad thing and it shouldn't be looked down upon at all. just because most of the nation looks at rich people with envy and many a well-off person wastes or flaunts the greenbacks they have doesn't give them the right to berate those who do their best to save. and right now, i'm pretty sure they were wishing they did the same thing well before now.

saving money is a useful hobby and one that the newest entity in the family mendez practices regularly. want a good deal on travel and don't mind staying away from the money-sucking hotels? see my husband. maybe a nice bra that doesn't look like something your grandma would find in the back racks of JCPenney? see me. from travel to necessities to good ole charity, there's always a way to give, a way to save, and always a time to start. so quit the belly-aching and get saving America.
